Since 1923 the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards has recognized the exceptional vision of our nation’s creative youth. The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards have grown to become the nation’s highest honor and largest source of scholarships for creative teens. Through a nationwide partner network of more than 100 Affiliates, each year Awards receives over 350,000 submissions spanning 28 categories of art and writing. Students, both in schools and out-of-school programs, to submit their original works. All students in grades 7 through 12, whether in public, private, virtual, or home school settings, can apply.

Northeast Florida Scholastic Art Awards (NEFSAA) is a regional affiliate for this incredible program. Sponsored by Northeast Florida Art Education Association (NEFAEA), NEFSAA handles the regional adjudication, awards, and art exhibition. Gold Key winners at the regional level go on to the national competition.
Each year, NEFSAA facilitates millions of dollars in college scholarship offers to regional winners through our partnerships with Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD), Jacksonville University, and University of North Florida as well as cash prizes through other partners!
